Health benefits of Grouper fish:
Grouper is an excellent source of quality protein and allied health fats, whilst not containing large amounts of saturated fats that if taken in excess can threaten the health of the heart and arteries (which should not exceed 10% of daily calories). By eating this fish it is also possible to consume large amounts of B vitamins, important for a well functioning metabolism. In particular, the vitamin B12 is involved in the synthesis of nucleic acids and hemoglobin, in the metabolism of fats and in the functioning of the nervous system, while vitamin B6 is important for the metabolism of proteins and to the use of fats. Finally, the grouper is a good source of potassium, an ally of cardiovascular health; selenium, useful for the antioxidant defenses and phosphorus, beneficial to bones, teeth, kidneys, muscles and the heart, for the proper functioning of the metabolism and for the nervous impulse transmission.
